How to set up your card

Your card is how people find you and stay in touch. The more you fill in, the easier you are to reach — and to find. If a friend searches their network for “a ski instructor” or “a plumber,” a complete card is what makes you show up.

Start with the basics

Add your name, a photo, and the ways people reach you — phone, email, address. A photo makes your card easy to recognize, and it's the picture that rides along when your info lands in someone's phone.

Say what you do (this is the big one)

If you own or work at a business, fill in the company section: the company name, a short summary of what it does, and your Services offered (comma-separated). Those services are searchable — they're exactly what lets a connection find you when they search for what you provide. A ski instructor who lists “ski lessons, snowboard lessons, private coaching” will turn up when someone in their network searches any of those.

Add your links

Add your social media and your website so people can learn more with one tap. You can add socials to your own card and to each company on your card.

Recommend the businesses you trust

On any company, you can check “I recommend this company to my connections.” That's what puts it in front of the people you're connected with when they search — a real referral from you, not an ad.

Choose who sees what

Every person you save gets a relationship level — Family, Friend, Business, Acquaintance, and so on. Each level sees a different set of your fields (family sees your home address; business sees work info and your mobile). You control the exact grid in Sharing settings, and you can tighten it anytime.

Keep it current — that's the whole point

When you update your card, the change flows to the people you're connected with automatically. Fill it out once, keep it accurate, and you stop chasing people for updates — they always have your latest.

Bring your existing contacts in

Open Contacts → Sync / Import. Connect Google or Outlook and Nimbus pulls your contacts in for review, or use Pull from iCloud, or upload a CSV / vCard file. Nothing is saved until you pick a relationship level and click Import. Anyone you already have is skipped automatically.

Sync your card & contacts to your iPhone (iCloud)

In Sync / Import, find the “Send TO your iPhone (iCloud)” box. Apple needs a one-time app-specific password — not your normal Apple password:
1. Go to appleid.apple.comSign-In & SecurityApp-Specific Passwords → generate one.
2. In Nimbus, enter your Apple ID email and that password — with NO dashes. Apple shows it like abcd-efgh-ijkl-mnop, but the real password is the 16 letters with no dashes.
3. Click Connect, then Preview (changes nothing), Test (your card + 5), or the full push.
Your Nimbus card wins — it overwrites the matching iCloud card (your photo and anything Nimbus doesn't track are kept), and it never creates duplicates. Google and Outlook work the same way from the “Send contacts” buttons.

Removing someone

Delete a contact from its card. If they're also in a connected account (Apple/Google/Outlook), Nimbus asks whether to remove them there too — otherwise the next sync would pull them back. Deleted contacts move to your trash and stay recoverable for 30 days; after that they're permanently removed from our systems for your security.
